Apple banned me from forums, scared of Adobe Flash on iPad and iPhone ?!

Apple banned my Apple ID from participating in discussion forums today, I posted the following answer to questions asked by users regarding the reason why Apple does not allow Flash in the browser on iOS devices including iPad and iPhone.

While fanbois falsely claiming that Adobe did not make a mobile version of the Flash Player (10.1 was released in 2010) is an acceptable fat lie, the following truth is not acceptable:

  • Apple has been desperate to maintain its artificial dominance by having anti competitive, illegal and arrogant behaviors.
  • Steve Jobs attempted to kill Flash not because it is outdated but because it is too good, a threat to Apple’s “divide and rule” strategy and a direct threat to iTunes and AppStore marketplaces.
  • The European Competition Commissioner gave Steve Jobs a reality check by constraining Apple to reverse its change of TOS aimed at blocking the port of Flash application to iOS, however the ban of Flash Player in the browser on iOS is still in effect.
  • Apple broke its teeth trying to twist our arms (developers) to build for Apple first and Apple only, which was the main motivation for killing Flash and starting a vendetta on Adobe. Prior to EU investigation, Apple pushed as far as requiring developers to build iOS applications on a Macintosh only!
  • The ban of Flash in the browser is now firing back, making Apple’s devices ridiculously “has been” and isolated Apple in its corner while the entire industry rallied behind Adobe.
  • Flash’s mobile adoption is 2011 is going over the roof and the absence of Flash in the browser is the #1 customer complain from iPad owners, probably explaining the fiasco (Apple did not sell nearly as many iPad as they believed they would, of course their PR department will make you believe it is because they are short in parts or some other masquerade to save the face).
  • Apple’s war on Flash is dying, long live the open web and multi screen apps. If you want Flash, vote with your wallet because it’s available everywhere else!

Despite the fact that I am the owner of a MacBook and iPhone, did not insult anyone, did not violate forum rules, I am not allowed to answer questions asked by users on Apple’s forums just because my answer is not Apple PR friendly. Welcome to Apple’s World.

So that’s it, I’ve had it!

Today, I filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the FTC in order to get a copy of Adobe’s complaint against Apple last year for banning iPhone developers from using its authoring tools to make iPhone apps.

Based on private conversations it appears that prominent journalists and bloggers need proof of bad intend regarding Apple’s war on Flash. Since I am convinced of Apple’s bad faith and believe those documents might contain such proofs, there it is:

Fat lies that carry Apple’s PR propaganda are welcome on Apple.com official user forums, conveniently forgetting that Flash Player for mobile was released in July 2010 (version 10.1) and is now available on most recent devices.

… however, facts and opinion not aligned with Apple’s PR …

 … not so much!!
